Dr. Reed returned to school to study medicine at the John A. Burns School of medicine at the University of Hawaii after having worked for many years in Christian ministry both as a missionary in the South Pacific and as an associate pastor here in Hawaii. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with high honors in only three years and then completed his medical degree in 2008 at which time he was accepted into one of the oldest Family Medicine residency programs in the country at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino California which is affiliated with Western University and with the University of California Irvine. Having received high quality and thorough training in all aspects of Family Medicine Dr Reed has
